The first alltruck Paris Show featured the launch of the Volvo Globetrotter XL cab, ERF's entry to the French market and no less than five new vans. In the absence of the car exhibitors' glitz and glamour, the truck manufacturers were keen to show that their engineers are not short of innovative ideas, while bodybuilders filled the largest hall at the Porte de Versailles—ultralow profile double-width tyres from Michelin open up new possibilities in low-floor trailers.
