• Vehicle management firm PHH has signed a fiveyea r/£15m-a -year contract to service and maintain 8,000 CVs and 11,000 items of plant for British Gas TransCo. It is said to be the largest maintenance contract ever signed in Europe.
• WRM Logistics has won the £500,000-a-year contract to provide secondary distribution of power tools and other products for Black & Decker in the South-East of England out of WRM's Hitchin centre.
• Tibbett & Britten has won the £4.5m-a-year contract to provide warehousing and distribution for Japanese electronics manufacturer Aiwa. Twenty vehicles will be acquired for the dedicated fleet.
• Group 4 Nightspeed has won two contracts worth a total of £200,000 to deliver sealed documents for catalogue retailer Index and to deliver computers systems for manufacturer Sam UK.
• ri has won four more Milk Marque contracts worth more than £20m. The contracts, for operations in Shropshire, Cambridgeshire, Gloucestershire and Somerset, bring its dairy income to £32m a year.
• Teamhawk has won a £1.3m distribution contract for Scottish confectionery manufacturer Lee's of Scotland. It takes over the contract from Transport Development Group, which held it for 18 months.
