Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Oo Wednesday and Thursday this week, several papers dealing with the place of design in the vehiclemanufacturing and operating industries were read at the 1951 Design Congress, which was held in London. Lord Latham, chairman of the London Transport Executive, contributed a paper dealing with the function of design in the operations of the Executive.

Other papers were read by Mr. B. B. Winter, director of engineering, Rootes Motors, Ltd.; Ing. Dante Giaeosa, director of engineering, Fiat Co., Italy; and by Dr. M. Watter, director of research, the Budd Co., U.S.A., manufacturer of railcars and buses.

The proceedings will be reported in the next issue of "The Commercial Motor."
