Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A new variation on the FL6 theme is now available as a factory option from Volvo. The FL621 is a 6x2 chassis with positive rear-steer; it comes in a choice of five wheelbases between 4m and 5m for bodies up to 8.2m long.

The chassis loading height of 915mm can be raised by 79mm and lowered by 127mm (when laden) using an electro-pneumatic system controlled from the cab or by wanderlead.

The front axle on the FL621 is rated at 6.3 tonnes and the rear airsuspended bogie at 15.6 tomes.

Power is from 210,230 or 250hp versions of the D6A engine; the two higher ratings can be matched to a five-speed fully automatic box or the new TO800 . overdrive manual.

This gearbox, also available as an option on the FL618, is a six-speed synchromesh with a lower first gear than the T700A and a 0.79 overdrive top. Rear axle ratios used with the box are 4.88 on the FL621 and 5.43 on the FL618.

The FL621 costs in the region of £45,000.
