Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Duple-bodied Coaches DELIVERY is now being given to L./Keith and Boyle (London), Ltd., Harleyford Road, London, S.E,11, operator of Orange coach services, of 20 special Leyland Cheetah 32-seater Sunsaloon coaches, the bodywork of which has been designed and produced by Duple Bodies and Motors, Ltd., Edgware Road, The Hyde, Hendon, London. N.W.9, in co-operation with Mr. E. Keith Davis, managing director of the purchasing company.

One of the interesting features in connection with the bodies lies in the fitting of double Sunsaloon heads, that at the rear opening from the centre to the rear dome, whilst the forward set 1.34 tion, in the open position, is concealed by the deep-sided roof and canopy. In effect, the advantages of a fully open, full drop-head, are obtained, although there is a centre bridgepiece acting as a tie between the body sides.

On the near side of the body there is an extension which gives the appearance of a full cab, but, actually, this section is suitably hinged so as to provide complete accessibility to the engine.

The seating, too, is interesting, in that each seat is designed to provide a cushion and back-rest for each pas

senger. Dunlopillo cushions and squabs are fitted, the upholstery being in floral moquette with leather trimming. The seats are arranged in pairs, facing forward, with a single seat by the nearside wheel-arch and a back row for five passengers.

There is no driver's door on the off side, access to the cab being obtained via an entrance in the front bulkhead. Thus, the driver is able to reach the front sliding door quickly, or is able to attend to the requirements of the passengers with, perhaps, greater convenience than in the case of a normalcontrol machine.

Other features of interest in connection with body appointments are to be found in a K:D. luggage locker at the rear, stainless metal mouldings and intermediate pillars, rubber-floored gangway and entrance, full-length parcel racks, pillar lamps, flush-fitting ashtrays and special ventilation.

Finished in orange and cream and bearing, on the main panels, the Royal coat of arms, this fine fleet of machines should go a long way towards ' enhancing the prestige of the operator.
