Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

I am somewhat confused at I reports from press media a Fire Brigades Union officials. Firstly, statements on television refer to the Green Goddesses as un-equipped, dangerous and unstable. 111( have also been called slow.

The "unsafe" part was explained to me by a former soldier who had (to be mild about it) his own version of events after driving one in th last strike. He told me there were no baffles in the tank ar they could tip over very easil because of this.

After doing a bit more research into these machini I discovered that they were powered by a petrol engine were noisy, the cabs were c wooden construction and were slow.

Then I remembered a feature in CM regarding the awarding of a contract whereby the petrol engines were replaced II think With a Cummins or Perkins), the electrics were changed, the lights were changed and drivelines were upgraded. It the fact of the engine and driveline being replaced wou surely make them faster and because of the power units, more reliable.

It appears that someone I omitted to mention this. Peter C card, Sherburn Hal, Durham.
