The Dijon-built threecornDartment tanker can be usec with a wide range of foodstuffs but will mostly be used for chocolate.
Its insulated tank and water-based heating system can handle a temperature range from 0-60°C. The trailer weighs 8,000kg; the 32,000-litre tank is made from 316 stainless steel and divided into a 17,0001it compartment (tank 2) and two 7,5001it tanks (tanks 1 and 3). Tank 2 will take around 21 tonnes of liquid chocolate, allowing for a return load in the clean front and rear tanks.
A hydraulic ram built into the kingpin/upper coupler framework can tip the trailer to 10° to help discharge viscous materials such as chocolate or jam; a typical cone tanker slopes at 5°.
The boiler is side-mounted with manifold, valves and pumps at the rear.
