THE FESTIVAL of Transport to be held in mid-Wales from Jun 17-21 promises something of everything for everyone. The event will cover the pleasing area bounded by Bala, Porthmadog, Aberystwyth, Llandrindod Wells and Welshpool.
Horse transport in several towns, vintage taxis to Powys Castle, open-top double-deckei on Aberystwyth sea front and historic buses linking the Great Little Trains terminii will inject more than a whiff of nostalgia. Visitors will be brought from many places in Britain by coactand by train, including a 125 an a somewhat slower but more luxurious Pullman.
Boat trips are scheduled on the Montgomery Canal by unless there is a marked chang, in the weather they may also have to be extended to the roads.
