Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A SEMINAR on crime prevention to be held in Llanelli on April 28/ 29 smacks to me of Hamlet without the prince. Llanelli Crime Prevention Panel hopes to make everyone, particularly youngsters, "more aware of their responsibilities".

A subsequent development is to be "the involvement of a bread spectrum of the population in activities arising from the seminar." I foresee massed burglar hunts (for massed burglars) by squads representing all kinds and conditions of people from toddlers to grannies.

What I can scarcely believe is that chairman of the RHA Vehicle Security Committee Jack Brown, is not to be among the speakers. It is not true that he invented crime but he has lived it (in the nicest possible way) for at least 20 years and his omission from the programme is lose majeste of the grossest kind.

In fact, it makes me wonder whether I should mention that, on behalf of the Crime Prevention Panel, a well-known South Wales haulier, W. J. Davies, of Mordav Coal Co Ltd, Upper Tumble, Carms, is seeking contributions to help to finance the project!
