k PLASTIC warehouse to store :v parts is being used at Leyland /Aides' Bathgate plant.
The 138m (450ft) long modliar construction was put up in ust five weeks by Rubb Buildngs of Gateshead.
The building is mounted on a vooden ring beam, anchored to concrete plinth, and its hotlipped galvanised tubular frame s covered by a pvc-coated Tre • ira polyester double skin for inulation.
Roller shutter doors at each ind and along the sides give • ehicle access to almost ',800sqm (30,000sqft) of floor rea. High side walls allow the .ntire floor area to be used.
Three oil-fired Powermatic xternal air heaters give a temperature of 62°F at an ambient of 7°F, and two ventilation fans .rovide a change of air once very two hours.
The building is said to comply Jith UK building regulations in aspect of wind forces and snow )adings, and though classed as temporary structure, similar nes erected by Rubb have been tanding for more than 12 ears.
