Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• An extra-tall 34-pallet double-decker insulated curtain-sider has been developed by Lawrence David of Peterborough for Basildon fruit and vegetable supplier Peachey Brothers.

The 12.2m semi-trailer, which is designed for working at up to 32.5 tonnes, is mounted on an M and G step

framed chassis, is 4.7m high overall and has an internal height of 3.5m.

By using 495nnn (19.5in) wheels and low-profile tyres, the main deck is devoid of wheel arches, so no pallet stacking space is lost.

Interlocking aluminium floor sections arranged transversely and linked in groups of three form the intermediate floor allowing headroom for a driver to move freely on either deck with a pallet truck. Three different deck heights have been provided for.

The floor frame is supported from a series of sliding roof pillars which, like the load-bearing Annoursheet curtains can be slid aside to give variable access.

The curtains are insulated with flexible polyurethane foam for chilled temperatures with further security provided by retaining straps suspended from the roof.

Loading is carried out from the side by fork lift while for off-loading from either the upper or lower deck, a double-tier 1.5 tonne Ratcliff tail-lift is fitted. Peachey has allowed for late ordering with a compact ment over the raised forwar section while behind it a half height bulkhead keeps the main deck cargo secure.

Refrigeration is provided 1 a Carrier Mistral dieselpowered unit on the front bulkhead and flexible ceiling ducts carry the cold air to th back of the body. Circulation to the lower deck is by hole: in the intermediate floor panels.
