I AM WRITING in response to the article by The Hawk entitled "Union scandal" (Bird's eye view, May 31).
The item stated that because of "outrageous demands" by the Union of Communication Workers (UCW) the Post Office has been forced to withdraw its support for the Lorry Driver of the YTear competition.
This statement is completely untrue. We are supporting LDoY, as we have always done, with the full co-operation of the UCW.
