NATIONAL Bus Company subsidiary Maidstone and District has begun evaluation trials of different types of double-deck buses.
The trials will be similar to those conducted by the operator in 1976/77. The trial fleet will consist of five Bristol VRTs which are already in service, six Willowbrook-bodied Dennis Dominators and five MCW Metrobuses.
All the buses will operate from the company's Luton garage at Chatham on similar local services.
