Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

DODGE TRUCKS have issued a service bulletin explaining to operators of 300Series vehicles fitted with the BS16 engine how to avoid internal damage to the pump governor housing caused by incorrect setting of the exhaust brake fuel shutoff valve linkage.

To set the linkage, rotate the adjusting screw A fully inwards. Using gentle hand pressure, push the link B — stop lever to relay lever — to the stop position until the mechanism bottoms inside the governor housing.

Rotate screw A outwards until it contacts the relay lever, release the linkage, and rotate A outwards a further full turn. Lock up the adjusting screw in this position.

Start the engine and check the correct operation of the engine stop.
