CARTRANSPORT, the Leamington based car delivery specialists, has named Richard Joyce as its first sales and marketing manager. Mr Joyce was previously South-west and Midlands general manager of Tankerfreight, which, like Cartransport, is part of the Special Traffics Group of the National Freight Corporation.

National Bus Company has made two major changes, with Stephen Noble taking over as traffic manager of Southdown Motor Services. He is currently. area manager (Cumbria) with Ribble Motor Services and prior

Before joining the company last year, Mr Andrews was company secretary of MAN Concessionaires GB Ltd. Initially, he will be based in London but will move to Swindon next year when the company's new headquarters are opened.

Renault Trucks and Buses have promoted Nick Buckley from marketing manager to marketing diredtor. Mr Buckley has been with Renault since 1978, and was previously with Leyland Vehicles. Other changes at Renault Trucks and Buses include the promotion of Barry Gibson from area aftersales manager for the Southwest and South Wales to field service engineer. John Nicholls has been recruited from fuel injection specialists Gaedor to fill the vacancy. Area after-sales manager for the newly created North and East territory is John Collinson, who has joined Renault from the Post Office's central workshops.

Plaxtons (Scarborough) Ltd has appointed three divisional directors, with John Fox being named as chief engineer/ divisional director of the coach

division, David Goodare beiri. appointed sales administrator, divisional director of the saml division, and Barry Smitl being appointed as group chie accountant/divisional directo of the service division.

Grace Pullinger has bee, elected chairman of the Institut of Traffic Management Londoi Centre, while ex-presiden Harry Grace now takes over a: publicity officer. Grace Pullinge is assistant distribution manage with the Thames Wate Authority.

Herbert Taylor retires as director of Taylor-Barnar( Transport Services Ltd nex month. After the war, Mr Taylo set up his own company, which later merged with Taylor Barnard Transport Services.
