1-1, A REPORT in The Commercial Motor (June 7) of a licensing application at Liverpool has prompted an unusual appeal by a company who failed to appear as objectors. 0. B. Transport, Ltd., Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, claim that a misprint in Applications and Decisions resulted in their non-attendance when B.R.S. (Pickfords), Ltd., were allowed to add two articulated tankers to their Liverpool A licence.

Mr. A. W. Balne, who appeared for Pickfords before the North Western Deputy Licensing Authority, on June 4, said the licences were needed for the transport in bulk of carbon black. He thought the reason for there being no objectors present was that the traffic was unpopular.
