The Results of the C.M.U.A. Examinations. A New Series of Provincial Championships.

THE series of oral, written and practical examinations for drivers of petrol and steam vehicles, instituted by theCommercial Motor Users Association in 1907, has been conducted ever since without a break, and it has had an uplifting elect throughout a highly intelligent body of men, increasing their enthusiasm for their job, and resulting in better and more economical running of the vehicles directly under their control and by force of example of the other vehicles in -the same employ.

Hitherto these examinations have been conducted in conjunction with the annual parades of the Association held in London, and, in consequence, have almost entirely catered for drivers employed in the Metropolis. With the present year the examinations were put on a new basis, championships being open for competition in the various divisions of the C.M.U.A., with a series of national championships open to all corners.
