Hants plant this week John Denham, MP for Southampton Itchen, handed the keys over to its operator during a ceremony on Monday.
To celebrate the vehicle's 40th birthday enthusiasts drove a convoy of 150 restored Transits from Ford's research centre at Basildon to the Eastleigh factory last Sunday (17 July). The convoy is pictured (left) as it crossed the 0E2 bridge over the Thames at Dartford Transtt production moved to Eastleigh 411971.
