Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Isotrakis Active Transport Management solution comes in four versions, allowing users to tailor the amount of detail they need from the package: • Vehicle Tracking: Provides vehicle location and utilisation information, including historical and live street-level 'snail trail tracking and detailed vehicle usage summaries (time spent at depot, off-road, en route, in unknown places, etc). Also incorporates programmable alerts (out-of-hours usage, vehicles entering prohibited areas, etc) and an in-cab panic alarm for drivers.

• Fleet management: Includes all basic Vehicle Tracking functions and the ability to plan or import vehicle routes and compare what's actually driven against the plan. Also allows you to manage vehicle fleets based across multiple depots, with whole fleet delivery performance analysis.

• Resource management: Includes everything in the Fleet Management module as well a number of driver and vehicle resource management functions. These include Working Time Directive compliance monitoring, driver rostering and job allocation, a fixed driver terminal in the cab for messaging and a driver debrief function that lets you create a detailed picture of each trip and identify potential areas of driving style improvement overtime.

• Workflow management: This top-end version incorporates as standard the basic Vehicle Tracking functions and a range of supply chain management issues such as consignment tracking, unit load tracking (pallets, cages, dollies, etc) and electronic proof-of-delivery via a removable, rugged+sed in-cab handheld terminal that doubles as a barcode scanner and radio frequency identification (PFID) tag reader. Optionally, it can also take in any or all of the func ions of the Fleet Management and Resource Management modules.

ATM system costs, based on a standard three-year contract, are £50 per vehicle per month for the Vehicle Tracking option, £75 for Fleet Management, £100 for Resource Management and around £80-140 for the Workflow Management module, depending on the options chosen. Prices include vehicle installation.

Depending on what's required, the ATM system can be used in conjunction with a personal digital assistant (FDA) or mobile phone instead of a handheld or fixed in-cab data terminal. Other hardware and software can also be integrated, such as satnav systems.

As well as the standard in-cab panic button, a remote panic option is also available that works up to 50m away from the vehicle.

In addition to the functions listed above, the Isotrak system can also be wired into the vehicle CANIbus so a variety of vehicle performance criteria such as harsh braking, fuel consumption and gear selections can also be monitored.
