The Highways Agency has also put forward a £14m plan to reduce congestion at the busy M62/M606 Chain Bar junction, near Bradford in West Yorkshire, by 2000. It is proposing two new link roads to carry motorway traffic between the M62 east of Chain Bar and the M606 avoiding the existing roundabout. Westbound traffic from the M62 would pass under the two motorways on new underpasses.
