multi-agency truck check on the M6 at Doxey, near Stafford, south of J14. In all, 62 vehicles were stopped during the six-hour check on.
Six foreign drivers were taken to court for nine offences including overloading, excess hours and mechanical defects.
OF the seven British drivers stopped, three were summonsed for overloading or mechanical defects. Customs officials made four seizures For undeclared tobacco and alcohol.
