Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

BRIMEC (UK), manufacturer of hydraulic car recovery systems, has introduced a wheel to increase the payloads of its Towlift system.

The Towlift operates hydraulically, lowering a spectacle frame to the ground to recover cars by the wheels. The manufacturer claims that advantages lie in the speed and safety of the equipment and the fact that it does not damage the spoilers and plastic bumpers of modern cars.

Using a pressure gauge on the hydraulic system, the operator can share the weight of the load to be carried between the wheel and the rear axle of the towing vehicle. The effect's to increase the legal payload which can be carried in the spectacle frame by approximately 400kg {881Ib). This means the operator can use smaller, cheaper vehicles for his recovery operation.

The new single wheel is fitted in the centre of the adjustable arm which holds the spectacle frame. Two wheels set side-byside in the same position will increase the payload by approximately 800kg (1,763 lb). It will be particularly useful to operators who have LandRovers in their recovery fleet.
