Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

LAURIE BAKER became well known and respected by many UK fleet engineers during her 31/2 year stay here, first as Foden's chief engineer and latterly as the company's assistant managing director. She is now some 6,000 miles away at Kenworth's Seattle plant but, with the help of regular copies of CM, she plans to stay in touch with the UK and continental European commercial vehicle industry.

The many transport engineers who listened to her presentations on the subject of 38 tonnes during her stay in this country will not be surprised to learn that she still strongly advocates 6x4 tractive units for maximum weight operations. She will not miss any opportunity to remind hauliers of that. In a letter to CM, Laurie could not resist the postscript "6x4 is the answer to 38 tonnes!"

We wish her good luck in her new post of assistant plant manager at Kenworth, Seattle. Kenworth, like Foden since 1980, is a subsidiary of Paccar. Some Kenworth C500 vehicles are now being assembled by Foden at Sandbach.
