THIS month Denzil Webber and Michael Ridley have joined the management team of the Road Transport Industry Training Board.

Denzil Webber is the Board's new London regional manager, replacing Brian Smith, who becomes South East regional manager.

Mr Webber joins the RTITB from Umeco Holdings, of Hanwell, London W7. He was director and company secretary of this company, which has interests in the retail motor trade and agricultural and engineering industries.

He holds a degree in economics from the University of London and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Michael Ridley, a graduate in electronic engineering, he has worked in both the private and public sectors.

While with the Engineering Industry Training Board he was responsible for engineering craft training and helped to develop the module system of craft training. Later, he gained experience of management and supervisory training.

He moved to the Ceramics, Glass and Mineral Products Industry Training Board as chief training officer for the Glass Sector. While there he became head of engineering training.

Before joining the RTITB, he was Education and Training Officer with the Engineering Council.

He joins the RTITB as standards manager, a post which includes responsibility for the Board's Skills Assessment function.
