NEW general managers have been appointed to head-up Roadline operations in Northampton and Southampton.

John Langlands has moved from BRS Midlands, where he was general manager at Coventry, to take over control of the Moulton Park, Northampton, hub. He was a former management trainee, who joined the NFC in 1969.

Peter Bradford is promoted to general manager of the Southampton Hub Centre at Eastleigh. He is also a former NFC management trainee who joined the company in 1978 and was operations manager at Wolverhampton prior to his Southampton appointment.

In the North of England, Jack Burnett, formerly national Carriers Freight Services area man ager has taken over from Tommy Craven as general manager at Bradford, with the latter appointed to special duties involved in mail order and single entry documentation.

The current Roadline senior management changes have also brought about moves among operations managers.

Jim Auvache in London switches from City Branch to Muswell Hill, following Peter Dawkin's appointment as operations manager at Dartford.

And, at Bristol, Terry Warburton, former Basingstoke branch manager has taken over the operations spot.

Filling the vacancy as operations manager at Roadline's Wolverhampton hub is Simon Stacey — promoted from operations supervisor at Stoke.
