Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC), receivers for Aberdeenbased general haulage group Munro Transport, says it has received "several offers' for the company as a going concern.

The group went into receivership on 14 December and the deadline for offers was 12 January (CM 31 Dec-6 Jan). PVVC refuses to say how many bids are being considered, for "commercial reasons".

Joint receiver Neil Armour adds: "We have been encour aged by the bids received and the future for the Munro Group. It is necessary now for detailed negotiations to take place." No timescale has been given for the completion of these negotiations. Munro Transport of Aberdeen includes Maclennan's Transport of Aberchirder and WD Munro of Aberdeen.

The group owns 126 vehicles and 161 trailers. It fell into receivership due to "cashflow pressures and increasingly competitive margins".
