Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A Lancashire company granted a licence last May has had one of its two vehicles suspended for two months after receiving three prohibitions, two of them serious.

Apex Scaffolding (Blackpool) was before North Western Deputy Traffic Commissioner Pat rick Mulvenna. Vehicle examiner Paul Wilson said in September two vehicles were examined; one received an immediate prohibition for a seized brake load-sensing valve and the other a delayed prohibition for four longstanding defects. The first was given an immediate prohibition, again for a seized load sensing valve, in June, varied for lighting defects.

For the company, Paul Carless said the vehicles had been inspected by a contractor who was clearly not up to the job. Director Martin McHugh said he would have expected the defects to be picked up by a maintenance contractor. The vehicles will now be inspected by Pandora.

Mulvenna, said the warning should be carefully heeded.
