Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A type of roller race conveyor, the individual design of which can, it is claimed, be varied to give virtually limitless weightloading capacity., has been developed by Mobax (Hydraulics).

Known as the Mobax Roller Race Conveyor, the unit can be built into the floor of a loading bay or factory or, alternatively, erected as a free-standing unit.

The conveyor is of the steel slatted type, with the slats connected to two or more driven chains. The slats travel on the endless belt principle and are returned under the conveyor by sprocket wheels which engage with the pulling chain. A further set of two or more chains together with a race of large, solid rollers run immediately below the slats, the weight of the load being supported through these rollers by either the floor structure in the case of a floor-type installation or substantial l-beams in the case of free-standing units.

Made by: Mobax (Hydraulics) Ltd, Westmoreland House, 51 South Audley Street, London W1Y 61-IB.
