pISH distribution by the road services of the
Fleetwood Fish Merchants' Association has been "very satisfactory for merchants and the port as a whole", states the Association's annual report. The greater part of the daily landings are now cleared by road transport.
"We have delivered to more destinations than we did by rail and have attracted back customers who had ceased to trade at the port because of unsatisfactory rail delivery. There is also evidence, of completely new trade."
