THE Ministry of Transport is to send a team 4 of officials to the United States to discuss with the Department of Commerce and the Housing and Home Finance Administration their transport research programmes.
One of the major projects the team will study is the North -east Corridor Transportation Project which involves the examination of what will be needed to transport passengers and freight between Boston and Washington in the 1980s and thereafter.
The team will learn at first hand what progress the US Government is making and will see what bearing this work can have on the future development of transport and on transport research programmes in this country.
