Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

IN London Transport passengers are being asked how to improve local bus services in the capital over the next few years.

Passenger comments on bus fares, frequencies, safety and security will be used to complete LT's Statement of Strategy document which is due at the end of June.

More than 2,000 Londoners and transport authorities will be sent survey forms which they must respond to by the end of March.

LT believes that if improvements are to be made in services, passengers must have their say.

In particular, it says there is a need to improve bus stop maintenance and information.

By April 1992 LT plans to reduce average waiting times on high-frequency routes to 6.9 minutes (in 1988/89 it was 7.1); reduce lost mileage for reasons other than traffic congestion from 4% in 1988/89 to 2%; and to clean bus stations and buses thoroughly every day they are in service.
