AN ERF fire engine with Perkins V8 engine received a hostages' welcome in Kenya when thou sands of people turned out for a civic reception given by Nathan Kahara, mayor of Nairobi. It is said to be only the second of its kind in the world. The mayor drove it and took a trip on its 103ft hydraulic lift, which can rescue eight people at a time.
I foresee a great future for this equipment with photographers struggling for pictures of the more intimate moments in the life of Prince Charles.
