CORY Distribution has promoted three senior managers to regional directors, following the formation of three operating regions, each of which will contain two Cory depots. The three directors are Willie Kane, Syd Chesterman and Terry Darling. Mr Kane will be based at the St Albans depot and will control the central region. Running the northern region from the Rotherham depot will be Mr Chesterman while Mr Darling will be based at Hackbridge and will control the southern region.

Roadline has reshaped its national sales organisation and has named a sales director (parcels division) Barry Gilhespy, who was previously sales manager of the company's Midland's region. Alan Lewis, formerly western regional sales manager, moves to the Bristol branch to head the new western sales region; Gerry Harris, formerly Scottish sales manager, is the new sales manager of East Midlands, based at Leicester; Derek Hulme stays at the northern regional office in Manchester as regional sales manager of the north west; and David Gadsby remains at City Road as London regional sales manager. Finally, former southern regional sales manager Gordon Herbert is Roadline's new senior sales trainer, responsible for the new sales force.

Tony Green has joined Interlink, the international freight forwarding company, as manager of its London office at Crucifix Lane, SE1. Before joining Interlink, Tony Green was general manager in charge of special projects with another leading international freight forwarding company and has considerable experience in Middle East and North African markets.

Tony Harrison is the new traffic manager of Crosville Motor Services, in succession to Algy Elwin who retires in April. Mr Harrison has been traffic manager at Alder Valley since September, 1975, but joined the bus industry in 1951 as an engineering apprentice with East Yorkshire Motor Services. Mr Elwin has spent his entire career in the bus industry with Crosville, which he joined in 1933 at Mold. He became traffic manager in 1972.

Joining Eastern British Road Services Ltd as technical sales representative is Mike Haywood who now becomes responsible for specialised engineering product sales —including bodybuilding, tachographs and taillifts. Mr Haywood was formerly with King Trailers and York Truck Equipment.

Jack Jarvis is the new publicity manager of Deutz Engines Ltd. Prior to joining Deutz he was publicity and promotions manager with IVECO (UK).
