Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The bodybuilding operation run by Junction 6 Commercials is thrivin: reflecting rising demand for new trucks. Steve Banner reports.

E; vidence that demand for new trucks is starting to increase can be found in the bodybuilding operation run by Birmingham independent dealer Junction 6 Com-nercials.

Co-owner Nigel Ball reports: -It's flat out a present and it's likely that the lads will be w rking over Christmas. A lot of people want vehicles ready for delivery at the start ofJa uary so we're snowed under with work " An increase in new sales should help end the shortage of used trucks as operators dispose of their existing vehicles. Deflecting by rental companies will also boost stocks. Ball predicts. He believes that many are likely to offload trucks in January when business goes quiet.

Junction 6 runs its own 450-strong rental lleet:"As a consequence we can sell somebody a used truck, repair it if it is involved in an accident — we repair trucks as well as build bodies and rent the customer a vehicle while repairs are under way."

He adds that used sales have been up and down in recent weeks, hut as usual they are now slowing in the run-up to Christmas. In any case Junction 6 is not dependent solely on the UK market — it has been exporting large numbers of vehicles to Ireland. Germany and Ukraine. •
