I visit our depots at Atherstone and Stoke to talk to the site managers about replacing some of our older mobile vehicle workshops. We've got 45 in total. I need to find out what sort of vans they want and what equipment they want inside, and we need to discuss their workload problems. We're hoping to recruit and train more engineers to help with our ever-increasing workload. I find myself wondering if we'll have any more disastrous emergencies to cope with, as we did last year. On one occasion we had to recover a milk tanker that had driven into a gate on a cow shed. After seeing to the tanker, our fitter found himself mending the gate before taking the vehicle back to the dairy. Farmers don't stop for the festive season either, it seems. Later I take a call from a potential new customer who wants to know what vie can do for him, and from an existing customer who wants to upgrade his contract,
