Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE Institute of Transport is to take part in the National Productivity Year 1962-63 (the 1962 week-end conference at Oxford took productivity in transport as its subject). The Institute is also to take part in the Engineeringfor-Traffic Conference in London from July 9 to 11, 1963. Mr. R. M. Robbins is to submit a paper to the Conference on behalf of the Institute.

This was revealed in the annual report and accounts of the Institute presented at the annual general meeting on Monday.

There is a rise in mernbership for the year ended September 30 of 242, and a slight rise in the number transferring to Gradttateship (229 as compared with 227 last year). There was, however, a slight fall in the number transferring to Associate Membership (113, compared with 124 last year), During the year two Henry Spurrier Scholarships and two grants together amounting to £532 were authorized. The C.M.U.A. Road Transport Research Fellowship was not awarded and is being made available again in 1963 up to the value of £1,000. The Sir William Chamberlain Scholarship was not awarded and will also be available next year up to the value of £400. The Robert Bell Travelling Scholarship was not available for award.

Long Service Awards: 16 employees of the Amey Group received gold watches for 25 years' service with the company, at a dinner of the newly formed Amey Group 25 Club " held in the Queen's Hotel, Abingdon, last week.
