Replying to Mr. F. D. Walker, Objecting for Ribble Motor Services Ltd., Scout Motor Services Ltd., W. C. Standerwick Ltd. and Associated Motorways, Mr. Jones said that most towns in the North Western Traffic Area had off-peak fantail facilities, lie realized that -passenger potential was greater during the summer but cheaper hotel accommodation could not be obtained then. Mr. J. Hall, objecting for W. Robinson and Sons (Great Harwood) Ltd., observed that this company ran similar tours to

those proposed by Roberts. ,

For Shearings Tours (Manchester) Ltd., Mr. J. Robinson stated that the company's' extended tours picked up 4t Kidsgrove, Tunstall, Burslem, Hanley•and Newcastle-under-Lyme, all of, which could be reached from Crewe by local Stage carriage services. • • The case is to be continued.

Two Extra for Wynn 'THERE has been considerable agitation 1 .in the Press about the congestion caused on the roads by heavy vehicles. This was stated at a hearing in Cardiff on Tuesday by Mr. N. R. Wynn. He told the South Wales Licensing Authority that if his company was granted additional tractors it .would be .able to ,speed up these heavily loaded vehicles particularly on hills Where most of the congestion occurred, and this would help to ease the

problem. ,

Mr. Ronald Jackson granted the application by Robert Wynn and Sons Ltd., of Shaftesbury Street, Newport, Monmouthshire, to add two vehicles to the company's A licence to carry all goods in Great Britain. There had been one objection to the application hut it was withdrawn.
