ROAD MAINTENANCE hire and contract specialist DP Cold Planing, whose DP Road Patcher is pictured here, is to track its fleet of vehicles through Mastemaut Three X satellite technology DP Cold Planing, which has Mercedes-Benz, Scania, JCB and Wirtgen vehicles in its fleet, can now track all its trucks through a driver ID key, which relays the position of the vehicle over the internet to the company's head office and to managers' PDAs when off-site. Dave Cross, business development manager at DP Cold Planing, says the satellite tracking system will improve fuel usage, allow driver safety to be monitored and enable it to react to emergencies more quickly.
"Our original system didn't provide the flexibility we needed to support our business plans," he adds.
"With Mastemaut there is no possibility of missing anything. It not only provides real-time accuracy and developmental flexibility, it also adds a high level of security for our operators and our expensive equipment."
