Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Building company Carillion will use Manheim Auctions to remarket 12,600 vehicles.

The deal, to run until 2010 with an option for a further 12 months, accounts for twothirds of Carillion's 18,000-strong fleet and will include 8,400 commercial vehicles.

The vans are expected to be panel and chassis cabs with dropside and tipper bodies, plus car-derived-vans; and the trucks will be a mix of tankers, white-line vehicles and tippers.

Steven Danks, Carillion's supply chain manager, says the growth of Carillon in recent years has resulted in the need for a well managed and structured vehicle remarketing programme.

Commercial vehicles will be moved through seven CV-dedicated Manheim sites: Colchester, Glasgow, Gloucester, Haydock, Leeds, Mansfield and Washington.

The auction house will help Carillion with the administration and management of re-allocated vehicles "from the central storage compound in Birmingham where the vehicles will be fully appraised, repaired, cleaned and delivered to new customers".

Martin Potter, Manheim Auctions corporate sales director, says: "Manheim's extensive auctions, remarketing capability and expertise were key factors in the decision to award this contract."
