Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Bridgend-based GAP European has added 12 new dualpurpose curtainsiders to its fleet. The 13.6m Montracon-built triaxle semitrailers are fitted with sliding roofs and coil wells for carrying steel from British Steel's Bridgend plant to customers on the Continent, and occasionally back from plants in Germany. But the wells can be covered to carry up to 68 EuropaIlets when double stacked, and sliding roofs permit awkward loads such as pipes. The trailers are air-suspended, and weight has been reduced using alloy wheels, sideguards and underrun bars, allowing up to 22 tonnes to be carried.

The purchase is part of a £500,000 investment programme; GAP will move the new trailers using contracted owner-drivers.
