• In protest against recent fares increases Manchester students are running a free public service along four major SEL NEC routes, The services, organized by students at Manchester University, are running from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. from Didsbury, Gorton, Barnes Green and Kersal into Piccadilly.
A spokesman for the students said: "We are paying for buses out of the University's Students' Union funds."
