Birch, chairman and managing director of the Potteries Motor Traction Co., Ltd., in his annual report last week. Mr. Birch said that the 40 Leyland Atlanteans ordered for 1960, and a further 15 for 1961, were now in service: altogether they now had 90 of these highcapacity double-deckers and they were giving an excellent account of themselves.
The fluorescent lighting had proved so successful that they had adopted it as standard on all the new vehicles.
