Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

IT is unusual for a body to be so designed that i.: can be used for furniture removals or as a cattle carrier at will, but such is possible with the example shown in. the accompanying illustration. The chassis on which it figures is a Vulcan 6 V.F./3 with a wheelbase of 13 ft., the complete machine having been supplied to Messrs. H. E. and A. W. Darkin(rs -by W. H. Johnson and Sons, Ltd.. of King's Lynn.

When used for livestock it is possible to carry pigs, sheep and cattle all in separate compartments. This is effected by means of partitions which can be swung across the body to make three divisions.

It will be noticed that the upper portion of the body is carried over the cab and that the front end is in the form of a hinged door. Actually, this is a self-contained compartment and can be used for carrying calves, lambs or pigs, which may be too delicate to he carried amongst a crowd of other and stronger animals. On • occasions the need may be felt for double-deck accommodation within the body, and this can be provided by means of a removable deck or floor.

When required for furniture-removals' .work, the whole capacious interior can readily be made available without any form of obstruction being present either to the stowage of the goods or to the movement of those carrying out the work. Should it be desired to use the vehicle as a flat-platform lorry, with or without drop sides and tail-.

board, then the complete container is removed. Such removal is provided for, as suitable fittings are attached so that, with the aid of pulley blocks, which the operator has provided in his garage, the conversion can be carried out in a few minutes
