(AN FRIDAY of last week a very in1.-Iteresting ceremony took place at the Ford factory, Trafford Park, Manchester, on the occasion of the completion of the 250,000 Ford to be produced in the British factory by British labour, this vehicle being timed to leave the conveyor at about 145 a.m.

The occasion was one which may be said to be unique in the history of motoring in this country. Only a few years ago very few persons would have dared to prophesy that we would have such a large absorption capacity for one make of vehicle, as has proved to be the case, and it goes to show what a vast hold the motor vehicle has upon the ,community in general.

Many guests, including a representative of this journal, were present at the function, which was followed by a luncheon served at the Midland Hotel, Manchester, at which the guests were entertained by the Ford Co.
