Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

cab of this type and have been told that there would be no use for it in this country.

A it is certainly not illegal to use a vehicle

with a sleeper cab in this country, but there is little point in doing so. as it could not legally be used to enable a pair of drivers to take turn and turn about, sleeping and driving, over a period as is done in some other countries.

The point is that. while a driver may take his half-hour rest break in his cab, he cannot legally take his "hours for rest" in the vehicle. The Road Traffic Act 1960 is quite specific about this. Hours for rest may riot include any time during which the driver remains on or near the vehicle, or is bound by his employment to obey the directions of his em plower. So his employer would gain nothing by having him in the cab asleep—he would simply be a passenger.
