(which had been suspected of giving scant measure) and ordered two pints of beer. When the tankards arrived, they exchanged glances, and said they would ',each have a quartern of gin. Following their instructions, the barman poured a gin into each tankard. The drivers drank in a leisurely manner, then turned and strolled out. "Hi " shouted the barman, "you haven't paid!" "And don't intend to," was therespouse. "If them beers had been full pinta, there wouldn't have been room for the gm. You dare charge us and we'll charge you." And they went, and no man hindered them.
