Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Do you provide a standard driver handover package?

Yes. It’s free, usually offered by the dealer and, depending upon customer requirements, lasts from a simple 20-minute session (for a driver receiving the same, but new replacement vehicle) or a refresher on the latest technology, to a full in-depth four-hour session covering the entire truck and including on-road time with the driver. Each handover is tailored to the customer’s needs. Where does it normally take place?

Depending on the operator’s requirements, handovers can be at the customer’s premises, the local M-B dealership, M-B’s Wentworth Park site, or M-B’s Milton Keynes HQ.

Do you offer specific driver handover/familiarisation courses certified as a JAUPT-recognised/accredited course for Driver CPC training?

Yes. There are two accredited handover/familiarisation courses: • One-day familiarisation – classroom and truck driving – seven hours CPC, cost £140; • Two-day familiarisation – Classroom and Truck Driving – 14-hours CPC, cost £280.

How long does the CPC course take and how does it differ from a ‘standard’ handover?

The full seven hours course is more in-depth and detailed and has been JAUPT -approved. Can operators buy a CPC-registered familiarisation package on existing (i.e. not brand new) trucks?

Yes. M-B has a number of options and can deliver the above packages at the same locations.
