Do you provide a standard driver handover package?
Yes. There’s no set time, it depends on a driver’s previous experience of the DAF product and is normally free of charge.Training/familiarisation is provided at the time of new vehicle handover. DAF has a specific handover training course for all dealer personnel.
Where does it normally take place?
At the customers’ premises, the local dealer or DAF HQ.
Do you offer specific driver handover/familiarisation courses certified as a JAUPT-recognised/accredited course for Driver CPC training?
There are two possibilities. The first is a professional vehicle handover course aimed at dealer personnel who do vehicle handovers. Second is a ‘bespoke vehicle handover training’, which can be JAUPT-approved. For fleets DAF would expect to tailor training to suit the vehicle specification and operation using existing modules, and then obtain JAUPT approval.
How long does the CPC course take and how does it differ from a ‘standard’ handover?
To be CPC-approved, the training course needs to be a minimum of seven hours.
