MERCEDES-BENZ HAS developed a 4x4 Vito designed to take you to places others fear to tread. It distributes torque to the front and rear axles on a 35:65 basis during normal conditions. But when the going gets tough it calls on the company's Electronic Traction System 4FTS — lifted from the M-Class MPV instead of using conventional mechanical diff-locks. Two options are available: 111CDI (109hp) and 115CDI (150hp).
