ISSUED on Tuesday was RH(85), the notice of the Road Haulage Wages Council's intention to recommend a reduction in working week from 41 to 40 hours without loss of pay, and an increase in subsistence rates.
Objections must be lodged within 14 days of 17 October. Whether or not the Wages Council has to meet again to consider objections, implementation of the award may yet be delayed by the Minister of Labour until the PIB has reported on haulage pay and rates.
